Singer-songwriter Kyra hails from West London. The incredibly talented vocalist has always had a passion for singing, having been nurtured around music.

“My Dad plays bass and I was brought up on rare groove and soul… the good stuff’’

Kyra made waves in late 2014 with her debut EP, ‘Bandages’ which received critical acclaim from both industry and music lovers alike. Inspired by the loss of her brother to cancer, Kyra’s acoustic offering connected with people on a personal level with Clash hailing it an “engrossing, vivid work”

Kyra began penning her new EP in early 2015 after a writing trip to LA where she worked with platinum producer Sleep Deez (Kendrick Lamar, Black Eye Peas)

Embracing the creative freedom she feels in the studio and drawing influence from the likes of E.L.O, Sade, Erykah Badu and Kimbra, the writing sessions naturally produced a more eclectic sound, fusing electronic synths and jazz tinged soul. Working with some incredibly talented writers such as John Beck (Corinne Bailey Rae) and Rob Harvey (Jess Glynn) Kyra feels her new EP is lyrically and musically the most honest. “I’m in transition. I’ve never felt so free creating music. The new sound is unconventional in its approach and I’m so excited for this new chapter”

Having gained support along her journey from Radio 1, MTV and MOBO as well as opening up for the likes of Sigma and Ed Sheeran, Kyra is certainly one to keep on the radar.
